You can’t make this stuff up.
A mailer sent by Kevin Muldoon (incumbent candidate for Newport Beach City Council) prominently displayed a marina . . . unfortunately for him not of our Newport Beach, but Newport, Rhode Island. His mailer’s tag line “Our city has a bright future … we will raise our family in a safe and prosperous community.” makes us wonder if he is planning on moving to Rhode Island soon.
Not to be outdone, Mayor Duffy Duffield and Scott Peotter (also incumbent candidates for Newport Beach City Council) sent their own joint mailer which arrived in mailboxes on October 26. Guess what voters? The same Rhode Island marina was prominently displayed on their mailer too. Their mailer tag line “Promises Made Promises Kept” makes us wonder to which city’s voters.
